Adventure Challenge 2025

Doylestown, PA

SCROLL DOWN TO START YOUR ADVENTURE

Here Are The Rules

  1. Complete as many challenges as you can within the given time frame. Challenges can be completed in any order.

  2. Team members need to stay together throughout the adventure, however, if you are all at the same location and searching for something you can spread out until it is found.

  3. Some challenges may require a few basic supplies to complete them. Figuring out how to obtain these supplies somewhere in the area is part of the experience.

  4. After completing each challenge click the “Connection Question”. Have at least one team member answer the question while you’re at the challenge location, or as you travel together to your next location. These answers don’t need to be submitted, they are simply meant to spark meaningful conversations within your own team. The more team members that talk about their answer, the more connected you’ll become. If you choose to just have one person answer per question create a rotation of who answers next so that everyone is sharing equally.

CHALLENGES

#1: Get your team to Evolution Candy (45 East State Street) and let the staff know you are participating in the Doylestown Presbyterian scavenger hunt. They will hand you a device that you will use to distribute one random jelly bean to each team member. Have each person hold onto their jelly bean until everyone has one in their hand. Then take a video at least 30 seconds long of everyone on the team eating their mystery flavored candy at the same time. With flavors ranging from Juicy Pear to Old Band-Aids you will quickly know who on the team got a sweet treat and who got a nasty surprise. Disclaimer, for some this will likely not be pleasant, which is exactly the point. Because a team that suffers together, grows together.

Connection Question For Challenge #1

#2: Yesterday was National Day Of Encouragement (it’s true, look it up). And since Philadelphia is where Mother’s Day originated, take a video of your team members hugging or high-fiving any female who is pushing a stroller around town as you give her words of encouragement such as "we believe in you", "you're awesome", "you're doing a great job", etc. Make sure your video shows the stroller at some point, although the child doesn’t need to be recorded.

Connection Question For Challenge #2

#3: Get your team to Le Macaron French Pastries (4 West Oakland Ave) and let them know you are with the Doylestown Presbyterian scavenger hunt. They will hand you a can of whipped cream. Then head back outside and find an area that doesn’t get a lot of foot traffic. Once there, take a video of your team successfully completing the Whipped Cream Catapult Challenge. Divide your team into pairs. Have one person from the pair squirt a small lump of whipped cream onto the back of their hand. That person should launch the whipped cream to their partner using the “arm catapult” technique seen in the video HERE. The second person should successfully catch the whipped cream in their mouth, or at least catch some of it in their mouth and the rest on their face. To complete this challenge at least half your team should make a successful catch in the video. Once finished, return the whipped cream to their staff, and feel free to buy some delicious treats for the road.

Connection Question For Challenge #3

#4: The 104th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, organized here in Doylestown in 1861, fought in key Civil War battles and built a reputation for bravery. Get to the monument here in town honoring this group of men, which is one of the oldest Civil War monuments in the country. Once there, designate one of your teammates as an “injured soldier”. Then take a video of your team while you’re demonstrating the “correct way to carry an injured soldier”, as referenced in the picture found HERE by soldiers from the 1800’s. To complete the challenge successfully, hold your injured solider up until a vehicle driving by honks it’s horn and you captured it on video. If you have a lot of people on your team you can divide up and carry multiple “victims” if you want. Or if you have a small team you can recruit strangers to help out if needed.

Connection Question For Challenge #4

#5: Doylestown is home to some amazing musicians (such as Pink), and legendary music (like the tunes created by Rogers & Hammerstein). And fans from this area never hesitate to support the artists they love. This challenge will help you continue to “get behind” some iconic musicians, literally. Get your team to Siren Records (25 East State Street) and take a fun picture creating “SleeveFace” illusions with any album sleeves that are conducive for creating this effect. To learn what a SleeveFace illusion is and to see some examples click HERE.

Connection Question For Challenge #5

#6: Anywhere around the area, take a picture of your team forming a 3-tiered, human pyramid inside of any elevator. You’ll need at least 6 people to properly form 3 tiers, so recruit kind strangers as needed. The elevator can be stopped at a floor with the door open as long as your pyramid is performed inside the actual elevator.

Connection Question For Challenge #6

#7: Get to the very steep grass hill shown HERE. Once there, get your entire team lined up shoulder to shoulder with your backs facing the hill. Hold each others hands the entire time and slowly walk backwards up the hill as one unified team. To complete the challenge successfully, have your connected team make it from the base of the hill to the very top near the steps while traveling backwards the entire way and without anyone falling down, crawling, or placing a hand on the ground.

Connection Question For Challenge #7

#8: Take a video of any two team members successfully completing the Pencil Pass Challenge. Basically one racer has a pencil lying across their upper lip and is holding it in place using only their lips and nose (no hands). A second racer must transfer the pencil to their upper lip without dropping it and without using their hands. The two racers faces will be very close to each other trying to transfer the pencil from one upper lip to the other without dropping it. Full disclosure, this challenge will be awkward...but hilarious! To watch a video of this challenge being completed successfully click HERE

Connection Question For Challenge #8

#9: Take a fun team picture after everyone uses Scotch tape to dramatically stretch and distort their faces. To create the proper distortion you’ll need at least 5 pieces of tape per face, although the more the better! For some inspiration click HERE.

Connection Question For Challenge #9

#10: Tomorrow is National Hug Your Hound Day, which helps remind all of us that our four-legged friends deserve our love and attention. To honor our furry best friends, take a picture of your team performing any variation of the Downward Dog yoga pose, while you are with any real-life dog here in town. After your photo, give the hound a hug if their human says it’s alright. To view some Downward Dog variations click HERE.

Connection Question For Challenge #10

#11: Get your team onto any grassy area where you can clearly see an intersection with a traffic light. Have someone take a video of your team as everyone is standing shoulder to shoulder in a tight clump/circle with your backs all facing in and your arms interlocked. When the light turns green slowly lower the entire interlocked group to the ground until you are in a seated position with your butts on the ground. Then work together to slowly stand all the way back up while remaining interlocked the entire time. To successfully complete the challenge, your entire interlocked team needs to be standing up again before the traffic light in the background changes to red. To watch a video of a group performing this maneuver click HERE.

Connection Question For Challenge #11

#12: Yesterday was Stand Up To Cancer Day, and we are just a few days from the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To honor those, and their families, who are impacted by breast cancer, take a proud team picture showing off your hands once every member of your team has painted their fingernails bright pink (the international color for breast cancer awareness) using real nail polish. We have hidden a few bottles of pink nail polish in the mosaic garden located across from the “uplifting” artwork seen HERE, which was created by a local breast cancer non-profit called Main Street. For every team that completes this challenge successfully, our company (Team Building Anywhere) will be donating $20 to the fundraising campaign of our fellow DPC Dad, Mike Peters, who is a contestant in the Mr. Bucks County contest benefiting local cancer patients. You can take your team picture showing off your nails in front of the mural if you’d like, as long as we can verify your nails are actually painted. Once finished, be sure to return the nail polish bottles to the same hidden location where you found them.
