Team Building Adventure
Doylestown, PA
SCROLL DOWN TO START YOUR ADVENTURE
Here Are The Rules
Complete as many challenges as you can within the given time frame. Challenges can be completed in any order.
Team members need to stay together throughout the adventure, however, if you are all at the same location and searching for something you can spread out until it is found.
Some challenges may require a few basic supplies to complete them. Figuring out how to obtain these supplies somewhere in the area is part of the experience.
After completing each challenge if you’d like to spark some meaningful conversations with your teammates along the way you can click the “Connection Question” link. These answers don’t need to be submitted, but the more team members that talk about their answer, the more connected you’ll become.
CHALLENGES
#1: Get your team to The Doylestown Fire Station (68 Shewell Ave) and find the retired J&J employee (now firefighter) named Michael on site. Him and his fellow firefighters will help one member of your team get geared up in fire equipment and they will then take a smokin’ hot picture of your team, including your geared up member, in front of the fire truck. Then, before departing the station find the memorial brick out front of the building that says “Grateful For Firefighters” and submit another picture of your team members surrounding that brick, making sure it’s legible in the picture. Please note in order to complete this challenge you’ll need to submit both required pictures!
Connection Question For Challenge #1
#2: Get your team to Sarah Peters Real Estate office (43 South Main Street) and head inside. Once there, your personal “Building Inspector” named Mike will instruct you on how to complete the Tiny Home Challenge. Basically, your team will divide into two small groups and each group will complete a small 3D wooden puzzle shaped like a home. Make sure everyone in your group is an active part of the build process by having everyone place at least one piece onto the puzzle, or having some people color the home exterior (optional) while others build. While working together have each team member describe one thing that is a must-have for your own personal dream home. Once your home is completed, the Building Inspector will approve it, hand you a tiny Certificate of Occupancy, and snap a proud picture of your team with your home!
Connection Question For Challenge #2
#3: Tomorrow is the scheduled unveiling of the new Tesla roadster and rumors are that it could have some flying capability. To honor this highly anticipated release, anywhere along the way take a well-timed team picture with your team members jumping in the air (“flying”) while any Tesla brand vehicle is visibly driving in the background. The Tesla can be driving by or temporarily stopped at a traffic light, but it should be on the road traveling and NOT parked somewhere.
Connection Question For Challenge #3
#4: Get your team to Evolution Candy (45 East State Street) and let the staff know you are participating in the scavenger hunt. They will hand you a device that you will use to distribute one random jelly bean to each team member. Have each person hold onto their jelly bean until everyone has one in their hand. Then take a video at least 30 seconds long of everyone on the team eating their mystery flavored candy at the same time. With flavors ranging from Juicy Pear to Old Band-Aids you will quickly know who on the team got a sweet treat and who got a nasty surprise. Disclaimer, for some this will likely not be pleasant, which is exactly the point. Because a team that suffers together, grows together.
Connection Question For Challenge #4
#5: Find a seesaw in the nearby park donated by the founder of what would become one of the world's largest mail-order seed companies. Once there, get your entire team (except the person filming) positioned safely anywhere along the seesaw, with everyone’s feet off the ground. Take a video showing your team successfully balancing the seesaw for 10 consecutive seconds without either end touching the ground or anyone's feet touching the ground.
Connection Question For Challenge #5
#6: Now that it’s mid-October you can put up those Halloween decorations without feeling judged by your neighbors! To celebrate the approaching spooky season, wrap any one member of your team from head to toe in toilet paper (or multiple team members if they want to get in on the fun) leaving as few gaps as possible except around their nose/mouth so they can breathe easily. Then take a fun team picture with your new "mummy” team member!
Connection Question For Challenge #6
#7: Anywhere around the area, find an establishment that has an animal in it's name and take a fun team picture or video with everyone posing or acting like that specific animal while the establishment’s signage is clearly visible in the background. Please note you’re looking for a place with the animal in it’s actual name such as "The Friendly Giraffe" and not a place that lists an animal as something that is served there such as "Joe’s Spicy Chicken". The animal could also be of the mythical variety, such as a dragon, etc., as long as it’s part of the establishment’s name.
Connection Question For Challenge #7
#8: Get your team to the Doylestown Bookshop (16 South Main Street). Once there, head to the back of the store and find our staff member who will instruct you on how to complete the Jenga Challenge. Basically, have each team member carefully pull one block and place it properly at the top of the structure without knocking it down. If the entire tower crashes down, work together as a team to rebuild it and then have any remaining team members who haven’t yet successfully placed a block continue to attempt it. Once everyone has successfully placed a block take a celebratory team picture with the precarious tower before it crashes down.
Connection Question For Challenge #8
#9: Take a video of any two team members successfully completing the Pencil Pass Challenge. Basically one racer has a pencil lying across their upper lip and is holding it in place using only their lips and nose (no hands). A second racer must transfer the pencil to their upper lip without dropping it and without using their hands. The two racers faces will be very close to each other trying to transfer the pencil from one upper lip to the other without dropping it. Full disclosure, this challenge will be awkward...but hilarious! To watch a video of this challenge being completed successfully click HERE.
Connection Question For Challenge #9
#10: Get to the very steep grass hill shown HERE. Once there, get your entire team lined up shoulder to shoulder with your backs facing the hill. Hold each others hands the entire time and slowly walk backwards up the hill as one unified team. To complete the challenge successfully, have your connected team make it from the base of the hill to the very top near the steps while traveling backwards the entire way and without anyone falling down, crawling, or placing a hand on the ground.
Connection Question For Challenge #10
#11: When you’re working with massive amounts of real-world data, being able to cut through the noise, recognize patterns, and focus on what matters can lead to powerful insights. Let’s see how sharp the minds at ConcertAI really are! Click HERE to get to the brain puzzles, scroll down and select “Memory.” Then, anywhere along the way, have at least two team members achieve a score of 50 or more points. Once you’ve identified your two ConcertAI brainiacs, take a celebratory picture of them displaying their phone screens with their point totals clearly visible. If needed, take an additional close-up picture of the two devices to clearly show the scores (for bragging purposes, of course).
Connection Question For Challenge #11
#12: Take a picture of your team performing any variation of the Downward Dog yoga pose, while you are with any real-life dog here in town (not the dog from Challenge #3). After your photo, give the hound a hug if their human says it’s alright. To view some Downward Dog variations click HERE.
Connection Question For Challenge #12
#13: Nearly 90 years after Amelia Earhart disappeared while attempting to fly around the world, a new expedition is heading to a remote Pacific island to investigate what researchers believe could be wreckage from her missing aircraft. In honor of Amelia’s fearless spirit, take a video of your team completing the "Paper Airplane Challenge". Send a team member to the 2nd level of any building, balcony, or parking garage and have them toss paper airplanes out into the air in front of them (not just dropping it straight downward). The rest of your team should be on the ground level below. Any of your team members at ground level need to catch just one plane before it hits the ground. All team members at ground level can be attempting to catch planes, but only one plane needs to be caught.
Connection Question For Challenge #13
#14: Anywhere around the area, take a picture of your team forming a 3-tiered, human pyramid inside of any elevator. You’ll need at least 6 people to properly form 3 tiers, so recruit kind strangers as needed if some of your team members choose to cheer you on instead. The elevator can be stopped at a floor with the door open as long as your pyramid is performed inside the actual elevator.
Connection Question For Challenge #14
#15: October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor the millions of people whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer and the researchers, clinicians, caregivers, families, and organizations working toward better outcomes. As a company helping advance cancer research and care through real-world evidence and AI, this cause hits especially close to home for ConcertAI. To honor those, and their families, who are impacted by Breast Cancer, take a proud group picture showing off your hands once every member of your group has gotten their fingernails painted bright pink (the international color for breast cancer awareness) using real nail polish. For every team that completes this challenge successfully, our company (Team Building Anywhere) will be donating $20 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation!
