Adventure Hunt
This top secret mission is designed to bring you and your fellow agents closer together and get you to explore the surrounding area while staying safe and healthy. Please follow the current CDC guidelines and your local authorities for the best ways to protect yourselves and those in your community.
Agents, here are the rules if you choose to accept them.
Read each mission carefully and click on any provided links to view helpful pictures, videos, and requirements for each mission.
Complete as many missions as you can between 9am Saturday and 6pm Sunday. Missions can be completed in any order. They are designed to bring you together through fun, meaningful, difficult, or embarrassing experiences, so complete whatever missions you and your fellow agents are comfortable with. Just be sure to create some unforgettable moments and insta-worthy content that your group will cherish forever!
Some missions may require a few basic supplies to complete them. Figuring out how to obtain these supplies somewhere in the area is part of the strategy so work together and use what you’ve got to get what you need.
You and your fellow agents need to stay together throughout the missions, however, if you are all at the same location and searching for an item you can spread out until it is found and then regroup to take the necessary picture/video.
Each mission will require you to take either a picture or video and submit it to Mission HQ throughout the event via the “Bonfyre” app. HQ will review every submission once the event has ended and award your team one entry into the Grand Prize raffle for each mission you completed successfully.
Capture as many team members in your picture or video as possible. When out in the community, teams often ask a kind stranger to take their picture/video, or they set up their camera for a timed picture/video so that the entire team can get on film. If it's necessary to have someone on your own team film certain missions be sure to rotate who that person is so that everyone is actively involved in completing missions throughout the adventure.
If you have any questions or need any assistance you can contact HQ at any time through the Bonfyre app, via email at HQ@TeamBuildingAnywhere.com, or over the phone at 833-466-8836.
MISSIONS
#1: A secret agent must be highly skilled in the art of disguise. Take a fun team picture after everyone uses Scotch tape to stretch and distort their faces. For some inspiration click HERE.
#2: Take a video of your team all attempting the Knee Drink Mission. Each member of your team should have their own full and opened bottle of water (standard 16 ounce bottle is best). Sit down on the ground with feet flat and knees bent upwards and place the bottle of water in between your knees. Then lean back so that your elbows and forearms are on the ground on either side of you. Carefully tip your knees and the bottle of water towards your chest so that the top of it rotates down towards you and you can attempt to put your mouth over the opening. Then drink from the bottle as best you can for 5 consecutive seconds. To view an example picture and video of people performing this mission click HERE. Remaining dry is certainly not a requirement to completing this mission successfully.
#3: Research shows that consuming raw garlic can boost your immune system. So take a video of all your team members each chewing a separate raw clove of garlic for at least 10 full seconds, Team members should be actively chewing the clove and not just holding it in their mouths. Disclaimer, although healthy this will likely not be pleasant, which is exactly the point.
#4: Get to any public sidewalk that has a decent amount of foot traffic throughout the day. Using sidewalk chalk, write the open ended phrase “Love means…” and then create a numbered list below. Have each of your team members write their own answer in a numbered space and then take a group picture while your thoughtful work of art is visible in the background. Then add one more number to the list than you needed and leave your chalk behind so that other passersby can reflect on your question and answer it themselves. Check back in later in the day to see what others have added.
#5: Take a video of at least half the members on your team completing the "Bite The Bag" mission. Stand on one leg, bend down and grab a brown paper bag, or an empty cereal box, with only your teeth and lift it up as you stand back up on one foot. Must remain on one foot the entire time and can not use your arms, hold onto anything, or bump into anything else. To watch a video of someone successfully completing this mission click HERE.
#6: Take a video of your team members all completing the “Goldilocks Mission”. Prepare a bowl of oatmeal or snacks with all the fixin's you love. Place the bowl somewhere about halfway between your front door and a bedroom. Start at your front door and “bear crawl” all the way from the door to the food bowl, taking as many breaks to rest as needed. When you get to the bowl, eat a few bites of food using only your mouth, no hands (like a bear, obviously!). Then continue your bear crawl to the bedroom to finish! To watch a video of someone successfully bear crawling click HERE.
#7: Take a video of your team members all balanced on any see-saw for 10 continuous seconds while both ends of the see-saw are off the ground in a somewhat horizontal position and no part of any team member is touching either the ground or the bar that the see-saw rests on.
#8: Take a video of your team successfully completing the Whipped Cream Catapult Mission. Divide your team into pairs. Have someone squirt a dollop (small lump) of whipped cream onto the back of their hand. Have the other person stand a few feet away from them ready to catch the whipped cream in their mouth. The person with the whipped cream on their hand will swing their arm back, palm down. When that hand gets back in front of them at about waist height, they’ll strike the top of their wrist with their other free hand, causing the whipped cream to go flying. The second person should successfully catch the whipped cream in their mouth, or at least catch some of it in their mouth and the rest on their face. At least half your team should make a successful catch in the video. To understand the mission better and to watch a video of a team successfully completing it click HERE.
#9: On any flat outdoor surface create a tower of 20 plastic Solo cups (or similar style) by placing the first one upside down, the second one right side up, the third one upside down, the fourth one right side up, and so on. As you follow that pattern every cup will either balance rim to rim, or bottom to bottom. To see an example of what the tower should look like click HERE. The cups should be completely balanced and free standing (not held together with anything or supported in any way). Once you’ve successfully built your tower to be 20 cups high take a quick team picture with your structure before it falls down.
#10: Take a video of your team completing the "Paper Airplane Mission". Basically send one team member to the 2nd level of any building or parking garage and have them toss a homemade paper airplane out into the air in front of them. The rest of your team should be on the sidewalk or grass below. Any one of your team members at ground level needs to catch the plane before it hits the ground, although all team members can be attempting to catch it. To watch a team complete this mission successfully click HERE.
#11: Find a postcard that features your local area in some way and purchase it. Then click HERE to go to the Postcard Happiness Project website and scroll down to the profile for John Craig, an adult with Downs Syndrome that loves to receive mail. On your postcard include a fun or uplifting message and sign it with your names or your team name. The mailing address for John can be found in his profile description. Stamp your card and take a picture with it to show you've completed your Act Of Kindness mission.
#12: Take a video of any two team members both successfully completing the “Bottle Flip Mission” at exactly the same time. Basically, take a video of both members each flipping their own standard (16 ounces or so) bottle of water onto a hard surface, and getting it to successfully remain standing upright once it lands. The bottle can be filled with as much water as needed to improve your chances of completing the mission successfully. What will make this mission difficult is getting both people to make a successful flip on the same attempt. If one of you fails, encourage them and both try again. To watch a video of two people successfully completing this mission together click HERE.
#13: Find any willing MALE team member, family member, or friend and take a video of your team using any brand of hair removal strips to safely remove one strip of their chest, back, arm, or leg hair according to the instructions on the package. As an alternative you could also take them to a salon that offers this type of service. Choose one body location that they feel comfortable getting “waxed”, and has enough hair that it would show up on the strip after being removed.
#14: Wrap any one member of your team from head to toe in toilet paper (or multiple team members if they want to get in on the fun) leaving as few gaps as possible except around their nose/mouth so they can breathe easily. Then take a fun team picture with your fellow agent or agents disguised as a "mummy”.
#15: Find any statue of a person around the area and take a picture of your team while you all pose like that person. The statue should be an actual statue and not just an image of one or a miniature sized replica.
#16: June is National Dairy Month (it’s true, look it up). Take a video of any team member tossing an unwrapped slice of cheese onto the face of another team member from more than 8 feet away. The person “catching” the cheese can maneuver their head and body as long as they remain at least 8 feet from the thrower. The cheese will need to stick to their face, not just hit it and fall off. The mission really comes down to the thrower being able to accurately toss cheese onto a small target, and the catcher being alright with dirty and sticky dairy products repeatedly smacking them in the face.
#17: Find any geocache around the area and take a picture of your team with it once you’ve found it. If you’re a regular geocacher choose one that you haven’t previously found. In the log entry write your team name and “KidsPeace” so that everyone knows what inspired your hunt. To learn more about the popular sport of geocaching and view a map of locations near you go to geocaching.com or download the geocaching app.
#18: Get to any clothing or apparel store and find two different items with enough in stock that every team member can be wearing the same two items in their own sizes. Then take a fun team picture with everyone wearing those items. For example it may be a wacky shirt, and a pair of shorts. Or maybe some cozy slippers and a large sun hat. As long as everyone is wearing the same exact two items but in their own sizes.
#19: Southeastern Pennsylvania has created some legendary music and bands over the years, and fans from this area never hesitate to get behind the groups they love. This mission will have you “get behind” some more iconic artists, literally. Get to any local record store or browse your own albums at home and take a fun picture creating “SleeveFace” illusions with any album sleeves that are conducive for creating this effect. To learn what a SleeveFace illusion is and to see some examples click HERE.
#20: This weekend we recognize the anniversary of D-Day, when more than 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified French coastline, to fight Nazi Germany. Anywhere around the area find an active military person or veteran. Then take a video of them watching your entire team doing 10 push-ups or sit-ups to honor their strength. An alternative for finding an actual person around the community is to find an American flag being displayed (an actual flag not an image) and contact an active military person or veteran via Facetime or video chat. Then have them watch you over your device as you complete the sit-ups or push-ups and the flag is in the background. After you’ve finished recording, spend a few minutes learning more about their time in the service before you depart or disconnect, as a small gesture of appreciation.
